Born in the suburbs of Paris in 1952, Marc Cerrone studied music from an early age before becoming the leader of an orchestra at 18. His passion, however, was for disco music and he released his debut solo album 'Love in C Minor' in 1976 to critical acclaim around Europe, with the title track becoming a hit in the US Charts. His third album, 'Supernature', cemented his place in the industry, selling over eight million albums worldwide.
After a resurgence in disco music, led by the likes of Daft Punk and Mark Ronson, Cerrone became more relevant than ever in the late 2000s and took advantage of this by hosting 'NY Dance Party' in Central Park with fellow disco pioneer Nile Rodgers of Chic. He then released a greatest hits album in 2015 and new music in the form of 'The Impact'.
