Arde Bogotá is a Spanish alternative rock band formed in Cartagena in 2017 and comprising Antonio García (vocals, guitar), Dani Sánchez (guitar), Pepe Esteban (bass) and José Ángel Mercader (drums). The three musicians, looking for a singer, met Antonio García in Murcia and, after a successful rehearsal, decided to embark on their adventure as a group. They opted for the name Arde Bogotá, as it was in the Colombian capital that they heard the singer's demo, including the track "Antiaéreo", which served as their first self-released single in 2019 and was certified platinum, prior to signing with Sony. After the release of the introductory EP El Tiempo y la Actitud in 2020, the band turned their attention to their debut album La Noche, released in May 2021, with the gold-certified singles "Abajo" and "Cariño". Ranking at number 22 in the Spanish charts, La Noche is followed in 2022 by the track "Sin Vergüenza" with Dani Fernández, then in 2023 by the hit "Los Perros", which goes platinum and opens the second album Cowboys de la A3, which goes straight to number 3 in the charts. Including another hit with "Qué Vida Tan Dura", it is nominated for a Latin Grammy Award in the Best Rock Album category, as is "Los Perros" in the Best Rock Song category. In addition, after taking part in major summer festivals, Arde Bogotá wins the Ondas radio and television awards. In 2024, the band embarked on a South American tour, winning six trophies out of nine nominations at the Premios de la Academia de Música, Spain's annual music awards ceremony. Together with Enrique Bunbury, leader of Héroes del Silencio, he produced the single "La Salvación", which reached No. 51 in the Spanish charts.
