Tonic was an American rock band formed in 1993 by Emerson Hart, Jeff Russo, and Dan Rothchild. Their breakthrough came with the release of their debut album Lemon Parade in 1996 under Epic Records. The album featured notable singles such as "If You Could Only See" which charted at number 20 on Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks.
Following their successful debut, Tonic released subsequent albums including Sugar (1999), Head on Straight (2002), and the self-titled album Tonic in 2010. The band also collaborated with other artists and performed numerous tours, gaining a significant following over time. Their song "If You Could Only See" became widely recognized, even being included as a playable track on Band Hero in November 2009.
In March 2016, Tonic celebrated the 20th anniversary of Lemon Parade by releasing an acoustic version of the album with direct fan funding. The band continued to release new music and tour periodically into the early 2020s, including stand-alone digital singles like "To Be Loved" in February 2021.
