Born in Goldsboro, North Carolina on May 4, 1979, Warren Barfield is a contemporary Christian singer, songwriter, and musician. Barfield released his first two albums – Beyond Me (2000) and My Heart is Quiet (2001) – independently before signing to the label Creative Trust Workshop. He released his third album, Warren Barfield, in 2003. The album was a success and featured the Top 10 Christian radio hits “My Heart Goes Out” and “Mistaken”. His next album, and first for Reunion Records, was Reach in 2006. In 2008, he released his fifth album Worth Fighting For, which contained the hit “Love Is Not A Fight”. The song was used on the soundtrack to the inspirational Christian film Fireproof starring Kirk Cameron. The film, which promoted the sanctity of marriage during good and bad times, became a sensation. For several years, Barfield and Cameron would tour the U.S. and speak alongside showings of the film. In 2012, he released the album Redbird, which featured a more acoustic sound. In 2017, after writing and producing with various Christian artists, Barfield stepped away from the music industry to focus on his family life.
