Mild High Club is the solo project and live band helmed by Alex Brettin, a Los Angeles-based musician originally from Chicago.
Influenced by AOR and jazz, Brettin began working on Mild High Club material in 2012 by himself, using guitars, keyboards, computers, and a four-track recorder, while shuttling between Chicago, Baltimore, and Los Angeles.
The debut Mild High Club album, Timeline, was released on Stones Throw in 2015. A year later, Stones Throw released the more ambitious second LP, Skiptracing, which includes the certified-Gold single 'Homage'. In 2017, Brettin collaborated with Australian psychedelic group King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard on the album Sketches of Brunswick East. Mild High Club's new album Going Going Gone was released on Stones Throw in September 2021.
Mild High Club has performed live all around the world and played to packed crowds of fans at festivals like Coachella to Tropicalia.
