Trevor Rabin

Trevor Charles Rabin (born January 13, 1954 in Johannesburg) is a musician and composer from South Africa. Trevor Rabin's musical career began in the mid-1970s in the South African band Rabbitt. In 1978, the guitarist and keyboardist began his solo career with the rock albums Trevor Rabin (1978), Face To Face (1979) and Wolf (1981). Trevor Rabin then joined the British rock group Yes as guitarist and composer. Together with him, the band celebrates a huge revival. The hit album Album 90125 (1983) and the worldwide hit "Owner of a Lonely Heart" were largely written by Trevor Rabin. in 1994, Yes and Trevor Rabin parted ways. From the 1990s onwards, the musician made a name for himself as a composer of film music. Trevor Rabin wrote the music for films such as Armageddon, Con Air and Duel of the Magicians. The musician rarely appears as a solo artist. With Jacaranda, a musical sign of life from Trevor Rabin appeared in 2012 after a long break. There are also repeated rumors that the musician is planning a comeback with Yes. In 2017, Trevor Rabin toured the UK with former Yes companions Jon Anderson, Rick Wakeman, Lee Pomeroy and Lou Molino III to mark the band's 50th anniversary. Another solo album by Trevor Rabin, Rio, will follow in 2023.
