Biografia

Joe Nichols' mix of honky-tonk traditionalism and modern appeal earned the country singer an armful of Number 1 hits during the 2000s and early 2010s, beginning with 2002's "Brokenheartsville." A native of Rogers, Arkansas, he was born on November 26, 1976 and released his independent debut, Joe Nichols, in 1996. None of the album's singles charted in America, and Nichols returned six years later with Man with a Memory, a major-label album that featured the Number 3 hit "The Impossible" as well as the chart-topping "Brokenheartsville." Man with a Memory went platinum and received a Grammy nomination for "Best Country Album." Revelation was released in 2004 and produced two additional Top 10 hits — "If Nobody Believed in You" and "What's a Guy Gotta Do" — while 2005's gold-certified III returned Nichols to the top of the Hot Country Songs chart with the Number 1 single "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off." Another chart-topping, gold-certified single, "Gimmie That Girl," followed in 2009. Nichols then hit a new peak with 2013's Crickets, whose two biggest singles — "Sunny and 75" and "Yeah" — both reached Number 1 on the country charts in America and Canada. 2017's Never Gets Old failed to produced any Top 40 singles in either country, though, and Nichols took a short hiatus before returning in 2022 with Good Day For Living, his first release for Quartz Hill Records.
