Maki Otsuki, born 大槻真希 on May 11, 1973, in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese singer-songwriter. Her music career began with the release of her first single "memories/Yoake Mae" in December 1999, which served as the first ending theme for the popular anime series One Piece, significantly boosting her visibility and popularity. Following this success, Otsuki released several notable singles including "Believe/Machibuse" in February 2000 and "RUN! RUN! RUN!/Summertime Love Letter" in August 2000, both of which also became ending themes for One Piece. Otsuki's debut album, Stories, was released in March 2000. She continued to release albums such as ROCK'N ROLL LOVE LETTER and LIVELY, DEADLY~Singles+One~. Her work with the J-Pop group CASSIS further solidified her presence in the music industry. Otsuki's notable singles include "Miracle", released on May 23, 2001, and "Destiny", released in 2016. In April 2024, she released the single "Dear sunrise". Throughout her career, Otsuki has been recognized for her contributions to anime soundtracks, particularly her work on One Piece.
