Contemporary Christian country music trio Cain was formed Alabama in 2012 by siblings Taylor, Madison, and Logan Cain. Their dad was a pastor, and the Cain children were home schooled until high school. Their interest in music began when they were children and Taylor wrote a Christmas song at the age of four and her two siblings added vocal harmonies. Taylor, Madison, and Logan Cain all attended Troy University in Alabama. After winning a singing contest in 2012 where the winning prize was an opening slot during a show by singer/songwriter Dave Barnes. Shortly after, they all moved to Nashville, Tennessee. They signed a recording contract with the Provident Label Group, who issued their self-titled EP in 2020. The EP was streamed over 2.5 million times and the single “Rise Up (Lazarus)” was a hit on Christian radio., reaching Number 1 on Billboard’s Airplay Chart. After several more singles – including “Yes He Can” and “The Commission” – Cain released their debut album, Rise Up, in 2021, and the Wonderful EP that same year.
