Joabe Reis is one of the most important trombonists and artists of the new instrumental jazz Brazilian scene.
Joabe is a trombonist, composer and producer. He released his critically acclaimed first album in 2020, featuring Toninho Horta, Nelson Ayres and New York trombonist Elliot Mason, a member of the Lincoln Center at Orchestra, led by trumpeter Wyton Marsalis. Joabe reveres jazz, highly influenced by Hip-Hop, Neo Soul, Funk and Pop. Joabe was invited by Macy Gray to play on her tour in Brazil with four sold-out shows at Blue Note SP and Rock in Rio.
In 2021 JR released I Just Wanna Breathe, a collaboration with Sintese. In 2022 Homem Passaro feat Paula Lima.
