Bilmuri

Formerly singer and guitarist with the band Attack Attack!, Johnny Franck created his own project called Bilmuri in 2016. Born in Columbus, Ohio, on June 8, 1990, Johnny Franck formed the metalcore band Attack Attack! with his fellow students in 2007. After two Billboard charting albums, he formed The March Ahead, known for its 2014 cover of One Direction's hit "Story of My Life". Two years later, he created his own project called Bilmuri, combining his post-hardcore, punk-pop and emo influences with an electronic twist. Under his Johnny Franck Productions label, he has released some 15 albums since his first, Jaguar Shark (2016). The particularity of christening each track with a single name continues on subsequent albums Bilmuri (2016), Letters (2016), Frame (2017) and Banana (2017). A prolific musician, he continues to release two albums a year until Eggy Pocket (2020). After the Covid-19 pandemic, which slowed down his production, Bilmuri started up again with 400LB Back Squat (2021) and Goblin Hours (2022). Long in the alternative and independent rock camp, he signed with Columbia and recorded the album American Motor Sports, released in 2024. In 2025, Bilmuri releases the singles "MORE THAN HATE" and "HARD2TELL", while expanding his live audience with a UK tour and European dates alongside Bad Omens. In 2026, he released KINDA HARD on Columbia, featuring "TWICE", "ALWAYS LET YOU DOWN" in collaboration with A Day to Remember and "WHERE TO FIND ME" with Novelists. The album confirms the project's more massive turn, between post-hardcore, alternative pop, country rock and absurdist humor.
