Ojard hails from Paris, France.
Its debut LP, Euphonie, released in 2017, has been described as a collection of delicate instrumental vignettes—an intoxicating mix of cinematic, electronica, and ambient elements.
With Chorale, the music explore the poetic layers of its title delving into its musical resonances and beyond. This wide-genred cycle of tracks weaves its inspiration from classical music, jazz, and leftfield pop. These blends breathe life into musical « characters » within vibrant composite worlds filled with contrasting atmospheres–utopias where all voices are heard. The project will unfold as a series of EPs, starting in the spring of 2024.
For the listener, Ojard offers a meditative and contemplative experience, channeling emotion and imagination. The music invites the choice to actively engage in listening or simply to be enveloped by the world it unfolds.
