Biografie
Welsh rave-fortified electronic duo Overmono aka brothers Ed Russell and Tom Russell, who also make music as Tessela and Truss, have risen through the ranks of UK dance music with a rave-oriented sound that appeals to mainstream and underground tastes alike. The sibling duo began the joint project in 2015, releasing the Arla I EP for XL Recordings in 2016 with two more instalments following in 2017. In June 2021, they made their presence known loud and clear with the now-anthemic breakthrough single "So U Kno," and kept up the momentum on their Fabric Presents Overmono mix of 2021—which also contained music from Blawan, Actress, Equiknoxx, and Orca—and the Cash Romantic EP of 2022. 2023 saw the release of the pair's flawless debut LP Good Lies—arguably one of the most hotly anticipated UK dance music albums of the year—and with it the gift of 13 perfectly formed tunes in thrall to nostalgia and the UK's hardcore continuum while capturing the wild-eyed energy of a post-pandemic world.
