Biografie

Born on 8 November 1994 in Rossville, Georgia, Lauren Alaina is a country-pop singer who came to prominence after finishing as runner-up in the 2011 series of American Idol, being pipped to first place by fellow country singer Scotty McCreery. She followed up her American Idol success with the single "Like My Mother Does" and released her debut album Wildflower in 2011. In 2013 she released the single "Barefoot and Buckwild." Her second album was Road Less Traveled in 2017 and saw her co-writing her own material. The title track, co-written by Lauren Alaina with Meghan Trainor and Jesse Frasure, was released as a single. This was followed by the single "Next Boyfriend." She was featured on a big hit in 2017, collaborating on Kane Brown's single "What Ifs," and has toured with Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Martina McBride, Jason Aldean and Cole Swindell. In 2019 she released the upbeat single "Ladies in the '90s," a tribute to the TV shows she grew up with and later that year, the more vulnerable "Getting Good." She also appeared on the TV show Dancing With the Stars and danced to new song "The Other Side," a tribute to her late stepfather. In 2021, she issued her third studio album Sitting Pretty on Top of the World via Mercury Records Nashville while that same year her feature on "One Beer" by Hardy and Devin Dawson was nominated for Vocal Event of the Year at the ACM Awards. She was inducted into the prestigious Grand Ole Opry in 2022 as its youngest member and the following year released the Unlocked EP on Big Loud, which yielded the "Thicc as Thieves" single with Lainey Wilson.
