Biografie

Lilith Czar is the stage name of Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Juliet Simms. Born on February 26, 1986, in San Francisco, California, she built a steady fan base in the mid-aughts with her emo-punk project Automatic Loveletter and later jumped into the public eye as a finalist on the second season of the singing competition The Voice in 2012. During the show, she dazzled audiences with heartfelt renditions of The Police's "Roxanne" and James Brown's "It's a Man's Man's Man's World," both of which charted in the Billboard Hot 100. Later that year, Juliet Simms signed with Universal and made her debut as a solo artist with the single "Wild Child." Following her departure from the label over a lack of creative control, she independently released the EP All or Nothing (2015) and the full-length From the Grave (2016) under her own name. After taking a break from her music career due to personal issues, Juliet Simms re-emerged in 2019 as the ominous Lilith Czar with the singles "Bad Love" and "100 Little Deaths," both included in her 2021 full-length Created From Filth and Dust. In 2022, a radio edit of "100 Little Deaths" entered the Top 40 of Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
