August Canino was born in Frankfurt am Main in the 1970s into a family of judges and lawyers. He discovered his love for music very early on. And already during elementary school he sang in choirs and to radio and television tunes. It was also during this time that his first own compositions fall, which unfortunately have not survived.
August began to play rock guitar at the age of 15 and soon after played in rock and punk rock bands. He also began to teach guitar when he was still at school. After graduating from high school, he studied jazz guitar, began producing music and created productions for instance for the management of racing driver Michael Schumacher and, on the occasion of Jan Ullrich's Tour de France triumph, for Deutsche Telekom. Canino now also turned to classical music and completed a musicological degree at the Gutenberg University in Mainz and then worked for many years as a cultural journalist for public radio in addition to his own musical production.
August Canino is celebrating a great comeback with the CD "Cozy August Nights" and is now doing what he likes best: developing pieces with wonderful melodies and distinctive themes and recording them with world-famous musicians. We can look forward to the further musical development of August Canino.
