The band LOVING THE SUN, whose roots can be found somewhere in the wide field between pop, blues, americana and folk rock, was founded in 2002 by JOE WENINGHOFFF and ANDREA HEUKAMP (The House Of Love).
The project finds a special reverberation in the international alternative radio charts. The title song “The Inside Light” can be placed in Europe on # 6 of the European Indie Music Charts and # 17 of the US DRT GLOBAL TOP 50 ROCK AIRPLAY CHARTS. „The Waves Of Sorrow“ reached number 12 in the German iTunes Charts.
On February 3rd, 2023, "The Circle Of Life" will be one of the last songs to be released with the background singer Andrea Heukamp and singer Ute Kuchenbecker, both of whom died in 2022 for health reasons.
Like all of the band's songs, "The Waves Of Sorrow" (EP 8/2023) is one hundred percent self-written and fits the atmosphere perfectly. “Walk My Way”, released in March 2024, was created with the singer “Hakan C.. They love rock music and the blues, and with the EP "Journey," released in June 2025, they prove just that.
