Although Italy is her adopted home, the singer Giordana Angi is actually of French origin. Her musical career began when she performed at the San Remo music festival in 2012 showcasing the song 'Incognita Poesia'. Despite the resulting TV exposure Angi's career failed to take off in any significant way until Tiziano Ferro began to take an interest and mentored Angi through the next stage of her career. After Angi wrote the single 'Bam Bam' in 2017 it was adopted by the Lazio Pride Festival and the artist began to establish a presence on the Italian music scene.
In 2018 she entered the TV reality show 'Amici 18' eventually becoming the season's winner in the vocalist category. During the series Angi announced that her song 'La Solita Stronza' was about an ex-girlfriend and this revelation immediately garnered strong support from Italy's LGBT community and boosted Angi's career. Her debut album was 'Casa', a collection of seven songs released in 2019.
