Biografie

Das aus Silver Lake in der Nähe von Los Angeles stammende Quintett Local Natives tritt in die Fußstapfen von Talking Heads und Vampire Weekend. Ihr erstes Album Gorilla Manor, das Ende 2009 erschien, bietet eine erfreuliche Afro-Pop-Mischung. Als Quartett kehrte er 2013 mit Hummingbird zurück und erzwang 2016 mit Sunlit Youth eine große stilistische Wende, indem er eine schwere Dosis Elektro in seine Formel einspritzte.
