Biografie

Miranda Lambert (November 10, 1983) is an American country singer-songwriter known for melodic songs with evocative lyrics. Her career began when she placed third in US television talent show Nashville Star in 2003. Since then, she has written and recorded a series of hit singles and albums with several number ones and an unequaled list of wins in American country music awards. She was also a member of the trio Pistol Annies with Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. Born in Texas to a police officer father who played in a local band, she started singing at high school and later performed in clubs in Texas. Her appearance on Nashville Star caught the eye of a record producer and she signed with Epic Records. Her debut single "Me and Charlie Talking" introduced her first album Kerosene, which topped Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart in 2005 and reached Number 18 on the Billboard 200. The title track went to Number 15 on the Hot Country Songs Chart in 2006. The album Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2007) topped the Country Chart and went to Number 6 on the Billboard 200, and Revolution (2009) topped the Country Chart and reached number 8 on the 200. Four the Record (2011) was Number 1 on the Country Chart and Number 3 on the 200, Platinum (2014) topped the Country Chart and the 200, and The Weight of These Wings (2016) topped the Country Chart and peaked at Number 3 on the 200. Her series of hit singles include chart-toppers such as "The House That Built Me" (2010), "Heart Like Mine" (2011), "Over You" (2013), "We Were Us" with Keith Urban (2013), and "Somethin' Bad" with Carrie Underwood (2014). Lambert has been named Female Vocalist of the Year at the CMA Awards six times out of seven nominations and she won the same award at the ACM Awards eight times in a row from 2010 to 2017. She released The Weight of These Wings in 2016 and was part of the 'Forever Country' mash-up celebrating 50 years of the CMAs. Her seventh album, Wildcard, appeared in 2019. Following the release of the collaborative album The Marfa Tapes with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall in 2021, Miranda Lambert returned to the Top 5 of the pop and country charts in the US with Palomino (2022), her ninth studio full-length.
