Burak is a Berlin based composer, bassoonist and choreographer. In 2008 he founded Musica Sequenza; an ensemble which stands for the innovation of baroque music. He created internationally renowned productions as “The New 4 Seasons", “Bach:The Silent Cantata” and the immersive sound installation series “Transmute”. Burak’s musical activities have been seen in Europe, North&South America and Asia, in spaces as Elbphilharmonie, Peter J Sharp Theater, Berghain, Berlin Philharmonic, Concertgebouw, Staatsoper Vienna, Teatro Colon Buenos Aires. As a soloist he has appeared with Istanbul Philharmonic, L’arte del Mondo and Les Arts Florissants and collaborated with Sting, Matthew Herbert, Magdalena, Werner Ehrhardt, N’to, Fazil Say, Rodriguez Jr, Andreas Scholl, Hernan Cattaneo, Rundfunkchor Berlin, Natacha Atlas and Edita Gruberova. In recent years Burak applied the language and tools of contemporary performance to vitalize historical operas and sacred baroque repertoire. With his works “Fuga”, “Opera del Futuro” and “Enigma” established the genre: electro-baroque. “Sampling Baroque” became the first electronic album of Deutsche Harmonia Mundi. Istanbul born sound artist Burak appears with live sets in clubs such as Berghain, Sisyphos, KitKat, Kammgarn, Wagenhallen, Radialsystem and Bomontiada and records for Sony, DHM, Neue Meister and Tacet Nota labels.
