Biografie

Jack Ingram, a country
singer-songwriter born November 15, 1970 in Texas, forged a career spanning
more than 25 years and numerous hit singles. Beginning his career by playing
around local bars, he released a number of albums on independent labels
including his self-titled debut in 1995. After being picked up by Columbia
Records, he released his major label debut, Young Man, in 2004. Though
he was deeply respected by people in the music industry, commercial success was
hard to come by and Ingram was subsequently dropped without a follow-up. He was
later picked up by Taylor Swift's former label Big Machine Records, and it was
with them that the Texan established himself as a household name, giving the
label its first number 1 single in 2006 with his release “Wherever You Are”,
the lead single from his album of the same name. In 2007 he scored his first
top 5 country album with This Is It. In 2008, Ingram won Top New
Male Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards, despite having been a
performer for almost 15 years. After a number of top 20 singles over the
following years, he amicably parted ways with Big Machine.  Ridin' High... Again was released in
April 2019, and in 2021 he collaborated with Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall on his LP The
Marfa Tapes
