Biografie

As one of the youngest and most unique voices to rise from the UK drill scene, South London rapper Loski lit up the underground rap world with singles 'Forrest Gump' and 'Cool Kid' before hip-hop superstar Drake and local hero Stormzy discovered his talent and began championing his music.

First coming to attention as part of Kennington collective Harlem Spartans, he was a talented footballer until injuries took their toll and he turned to music under the name Y Nizzy at a point when trap, grime and the Chicago drill sounds were starting to heavily influence the UK rap scene. He was only 16 when he launched his career with strutting, woozy street banger 'Hazards' in 2016 and the cold, gritty collaboration 'DJ Khaled' with MizorMac and he was also part of the popular Harlem Spartans mixtape 'Bandz and Violence' that went viral and caught the attention of Drake. Along with several other members of the crew, Loski was forced to spend time in prison as gang violence escalated in London, but three days after his release he played his first major show when he jumped on stage with Section Boyz at the Wireless Festival in 2017. Following in the footsteps of his father who was part of the rap group PDC under the name TY Nizzy and his aunt Tanika Bailey, a soul singer who collaborated on tracks with Stormzy and Idris Elba, Loski went on to become one of the leading stars on the underground rap scene with solo tracks 'Money & Beef' and 'Teddy Bruckshot', landing his first major feature spot on Cadet's single 'What's Good'.

Full of bragging, low-key, nonchalant confidence, 'Cool Kid' was another big landmark track notching up millions of hits on Youtube and Drake gave a co-sign credit to Loski and said that he inspired his album 'Scorpion'. Loski's 2018 mixtape 'Call Me Loose' even reached the UK top 50 and he celebrated the completion of his first UK headline tour by throwing bundles of cash into an appreciative audience at the sold-out O2 Kentish Town Forum, later joining Sony's imprint label Since '93. With the help of producers iO and Levi Lennox, his sound evolved to include Afrobeat hooks and club melodies and he released hit single 'Boasy' and appeared on tracks with DigDat, Lil Berete, Ms Banks and Steel Banglez, before returning with album 'Mad Move' in 2019.
