Biografie

Der Grime- und Dancehall-Rapper Yxng Bane wurde am 12. April 1966 als Larry Cummings
Kiala in London geboren. Anfänglich veröffentlichte er seine Songs
auf Online-Plattformen, ehe er 2016 mit „Fine Wine“ (zusammen
mit Kojo Funds) einen Hit hatte, der mit Gold ausgezeichnet wurde. Es
folgte eine Plattenvertrag mit dem Label Disturbing London und der
Track „Rihanna“, der
2017 auf Platz 40 der UK-Charts stand und mit Platin ausgezeichnet
wurde. 2018 erschien das Debut-Album Any Minute Now in
Kollaboration mit D-Block Europe (Platz 14 in den UK-Album-Charts),
sowie die Singles „Vroom“ (Platz
27 und Gold), „Gucci Mane“ und
„Needed Time“. 2020
veröffentlichte er das Mixtape Quarantime: The Lost Files,
das sich auf Platz 11 der Charts
positionieren konnte. Er wirkte außerdem an Produktionen von u.a.
Yungen, Elly Eyre und Craig David mit.
