A*Teens started life as a teenage ABBA tribute band in 1998. They made their album debut with 'The ABBA Generation' in 1998, an album of ABBA covers given a Euro-dance makeover. In 2000 they had a European number one hit with their cover of 'Mamma Mia', 25 years after ABBA had taken the original song to the top of the charts. They toured with Britney Spears and N*SYNC and appeared on Nickelodeon's 'All That' tour on the back of the album's success.
The band's second album was 'Teen Spirit' in 2000, which featured original pop material. The standout song was the catchy single 'Bouncing Off the Ceiling (Upside Down)'. In 2002 they released the single 'Can't Help Falling in Love', a cover of the Elvis Presley classic. This featured on their third album 'Pop 'Til You Drop', which also contained a cover of Alice Cooper's 'School's Out', featuring guest vocals from Cooper himself.
Their fourth and final album was 'New Arrival' in 2003, a mix of old and new material. The band pursued solo careers and Marie Serneholt released the album 'Enjoy the Ride' in 2006.
