Former lead singer of the new wave electronic pop group Yazoo with Vince Clarke, Allison Moyet (born in Basildon, Essex, on June 18, 1961) embarked on a solo career in 1983, marked by numerous chart-toppers ("Love Ressurection", "Is This Love?"...). His career, which began as synth-pop, evolved first towards jazz-pop, notably with one of his main chart hits, "That Ole Devil Called Love" (1985) and the album Voice (2004), then towards a rock sound still marked by electronic sonorities on the albums The Minutes (2013) and Other (2017), both produced by Guy Sigsworth. In addition to reforming the duo Yazoo in 2007, Alison Moyet has also recorded duets with Tricky (aka Nearly God) and Moby. Between regular releases of compilations of her 1980s hits, the singer is evolving with wiser harmonies replacing the rhythmic tracks of yesteryear. Still assisted by her fetish producer for the electronic dressing, she conceived the album Other (2017), which gave rise to a new tour. That same year, she took part in an acoustic album by Norwegian band A-ha. Following the release of Minutes and Seconds - Live in 2014, The Other Live Collection in 2018 is her second public recording. In 2024, she made a comeback with the album Key, revisiting her repertoire in new versions and featuring previously unreleased songs.
