Born in Brussels on October 14, 1990, Gilles Alpen alias Scylla is Belgian and raps in French. That's not enough to describe a style that has combined power and finesse since his debut with Opak in 2004. After two albums with the collective, Scylla went solo, releasing the EP Immersion in 2009. In 2012, Scylla took part in the Inglourious Bastardz album and released a new EP with Second Souffle. Already well known to French rap fans, Scylla took the French charts by storm with Abysses in March 2013. His successor, Masque de Chair, was released in 2017. From then on, the pace intensified and he unveiled Pleine Lune the following year, on which he was accompanied by Sofiane Pamart. A year later, the rapper with the chiseled lyrics is already back with BX Vice, featuring collaborations with YL and Jones Cruipy, before the second installment of his project with Sofiane Pamart, Pleine Lune 2 (2019), on which L'Or du Commun and Lord Esperanza also take part. After Éternel and his collaborations with Akhenaton, Ferdi, Saké, Antoine Elie and Furax Barbarossa in 2022, he reunited with the latter for the duo album Portes du Désert (2025), which reached No. 22.
