Influenced by bluegrass, jazz, blues, country, and Americana, Nell Bryden's rootsy sound has earned the New York native an international audience. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 8, 1977, she kicked off her diverse music career with 2003's Day for Night, followed in 2009 by What Does It Take. It was 2012's Shake the Tree that truly expanded her audience overseas, though, with the singles "Buildings and Treetops" and "Sirens" — the latter of which would later be covered by Cher — both becoming hits on BBC Radio 2. Now spending much of her time in London, Bryden spent the rest of the decade in a whirl of productivity, releasing Wayfarer, Bloom, and Little Wing - Part 1. The Collection followed in 2020.
