Masta Ace Incorporated

Masta Ace Incorporated was an American hip hop group formed in 1992, consisting of rapper Masta Ace and members Eyceurokk, Lord Digga, Paula Perry, and R&B vocalist Leschea. The group emerged from the Juice Crew collective, with Masta Ace gaining initial recognition through his debut album Take a Look Around (1990), which featured an appearance by Eyceurokk. In 1993, Masta Ace Incorporated released their first group album, Slaughtahouse, which included notable tracks such as "Jeep Ass Niguh"/"SlaughtaHouse" and "Saturday Nite Live"/"Style Wars". The album was critically acclaimed but sold moderately well. A hidden bonus track, "Born to Roll", became a significant hit in 1994, reaching Number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The group's second album, Sittin' on Chrome, released in May 1995, featured hits like "Born to Roll" and "The I.N.C. Ride"/"The Phat Kat Ride". The album was produced by Masta Ace, Lord Digga, Uneek, and Louie Vega, showcasing a sound self-described as "Brooklyn Bass Music." Despite critical acclaim and better sales than Slaughtahouse, the group disbanded in 1996 due to personal conflicts between members.
