Biography
Aleyna Tilki (born on March 28, 2000 in Konya, Turkey) is a Turkish singer and songwriter. Showing an aptitude for music and singing from the age of two, she took part in a televised musical competition six years later, at the age of eight. Convinced that she wanted to make music her career, Tilki participated in the sixth season of Yetenek Sizsiniz (an adaptation of Britain's Got Talent, in 2014), gaining considerable popularity with her cover of "Gesi Bağları", by popular Turkish singer Selda Bağcan, qualifying her for the semi-finals. Soon after, a video of the singer performing "Cevapsız Çınlama" went viral on the internet, attracting millions of views, and Tilki released her debut single "Sen Olsan Bari", in July 2017, peaking at number 1 on the Turkish charts and earning her the award for Best Female Pop Artist at the 2018 Golden Butterfly Awards. Shortly after, Tilki moved to Los Angeles to learn English, becoming the first Turkish singer to sign with Warner Music. In 2019 and 2020, she released "Nasılsın Aşkta", "Yalan" and "Bu Benim Masalım" followed by "Retrograde" and "Sır" in 2021. In 2022, Tilki released “Take It or Leave It”, “Aşk Ateşi” and “Tanırım İntiharı”, winning the Best Female Artist at the Number 1 Video Music Awards for the second year in a row.
