With a style that oscillates between pop and urban music, the mask-wearing, enigmatic DIY musician BoyWithUke blends a lo-fi recording approach with modern production techniques. After making his debut in 2021 with the EPs Trouvaille and Faded, he rose to online fame after his song "Toxic" went viral on social media. The single also reached number 19 on Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart. Later that year, the prolific artist capitalized on the success of his previous single through the studio album Fever Dreams, which included popular tracks like "Two Moons" and "Shy." A second full-length titled Melatonin Dreams arrived a few months later. In 2022, BoyWithUke began teasing the release of his third album Serotonin Dreams with the track "IDGAF," a collaborative single with blackbear that quickly racked up millions of plays on streaming services. The album finally saw the light in May of that year, peaking at number 72 on the Billboard 200. The following year, the musician began teasing his third full-length album through the singles "Rockstar," "Trauma," and "Migraine." Released on October 6, 2023, Lucid Dreams was the final installment of BoyWithUke's "dreams" saga.
