Tautumeitas is an all-female Latvian folk/world music group formed in 2015. The band blends traditional Baltic folk with modern instrumentation and consists of six members: Asnate Rancāne (violin, vocals, flute), Aurēlija Rancāne (drums, vocals), Annemarija Moiseja (percussion, vocals), Laura Marta Līcīte (percussion, violin, vocals), Gabriēla Zvaigznīte (vocals), and Kate Slišāne (vocals, mandolin, clarinet, flute). Their career took off in 2017 with Lai māsiņa rotājās!, a collaborative album with bagpipe ensemble Auļi focused on engagement and wedding traditions. The album received the Latvian Music Recording Award for Best Folk Album and charted internationally, reaching No. 26 on the World Music Charts Europe. In 2018, they released their self-titled debut album, further establishing their distinct style that merges strong vocal harmonies with percussion and folk instruments. In 2021, member Lauma Bērza left the group. Tautumeitas gained wider recognition when they won Supernova 2025 with the song "Bur man laimi", securing the chance to represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Switzerland. They advanced from the semi-final and ultimately placed 13th in the final, marking a major milestone in their international visibility.
