Yndi Da Silva is a Franco-Brazilian composer, performer, and producer. Under the pseudonym Dream Koala, she gained international recognition thanks to the ethereal pop she created in her singles and EPs: “We Can’t Be Friends” (2012), “Odyssey” (2013), ‘Earth. Home. Destroyed’ (2014) and “Exodus” (2015), accumulating tens of millions of streams on digital platforms.
In 2017, she stepped back from the stage to begin writing what would become her first album: Noir Brésil. Oscillating between Portuguese and French, merging synthesizers with the skin of drums, Yndi, who now presents herself under her real name, envisions a contemporary song across thirteen tracks where dreaminess, fury, and saudade intertwine, far from clichés.
Following the experience of this first album, Yndi initiated a return to essentials by gathering her close circle around the project Ensemble Solaris, a collective of musicians that includes Canblaster, Superpoze, and Variéras. Conceived as a collective, this group of musicians regularly meets in unusual locations to perform ephemeral shows.
In 2024, she continues her musical exploration with an entirely acoustic album, written and composed by Yndi and recorded with an ensemble of six musicians.
