Lichtenfels is a German musical group formed in Germany, consisting of producers Markus Binapfl, Gerd Lehmkuhl, and Patrick Buck, along with DJ Vincent Witthöft. The group later included Benjamin Reichert after the departure of Witthöft. Lichtenfels gained prominence in 2003 with the release of their debut EP Sounds Like A Melody, produced by Big World Entertainment. This track was an adaptation of Alphaville's 1984 hit and became a notable success for the group, reaching significant chart positions across Europe. Following the initial breakthrough, Lichtenfels released additional EPs including Kill The Silence in February 2004. Their discography also includes tracks like "Free Your Mind" and "B-Boys Fly Girls". In December 2005, they compiled their vocal trance hits into the album Gold Best Of Vocal Trance. This compilation showcased their contributions to the dance music scene, highlighting their ability to blend electronic beats with melodic vocals. Lichtenfels' music was characterized by its catchy hooks and energetic rhythms, making it a staple in clubs and on radio stations throughout Europe. The group's success was marked by their ability to adapt popular songs into trance remixes, appealing to both dance music enthusiasts and mainstream audiences. Their adaptations often featured distinctive vocal arrangements that set them apart from other electronic acts of the time. The group released Gold Best Of Vocal Trance in 2005.
