Let Loose is a British pop trio formed in 1993, originally consisting of Richard John "Richie" Wermerling on lead vocals and keyboards, Robert George Edward "Rob" Jeffrey on guitars and backing vocals, and Lee J. Murray on drums, percussion, and backing vocals. The band initially gained minor success with their first two singles "Crazy for You" and "Seventeen", both peaking at number 44 in the UK Singles Chart. Their breakthrough came with the re-release of "Crazy for You", which reached number 2. This success was followed by the release of their debut album Let Loose, which peaked at number 20 and sold 100,000 copies. The album included notable tracks such as "One-Night Stand" and "Best in Me", the latter peaking at number 8. After a series of singles and tours, including "Everybody Say Everybody Do" and a cover of Bread's "Make It with You", the band released their second album Rollercoaster in 1996, which peaked at number 42. Despite this, their final single "Darling Be Home Soon" reached only number 65, leading to the band's split shortly afterward. Wermerling later joined Bottlefly and released a solo album Lost, while Jeffrey continued with other projects and Murray became a disc jockey and session drummer. In 2014, the original lineup announced a reunion tour, which was eventually canceled. In 2023, Murray and Jeffrey reunited with former Bad Boys Inc singer Matthew James Pateman replacing Wermerling, releasing new material and planning live dates.
