Biography

Before moving to Nashville and launching his career as a modern country-pop singer, Sean Stemaly honed his vocal talents while working in the fields of rural Indiana. He was born in western Kentucky and later moved to Newburgh, Indiana, where his father ran an excavation company. Stemaly inherited his dad's blue-collar work ethic and soon landed a job driving a Case IH 9370 tractor on a local farm, which afforded him plenty of time to listen to 1990s country hitmakers like Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Tim McGraw, and George Strait. Sean Stemaly began singing along to those artists' songs while driving the tractor, developing a unique voice that would eventually take him to Nashville. After relocating to Tennessee, he released independent singles like 2017's "If This Truck Could Talk" and 2018's "Fading Away" before landing a deal with Big Loud Records in August 2019. His first release for the label, "Georgia," was released that same year and became a viral hit, earning more than four million streams on Spotify. "Back On A Backroad" maintained Sean Stemaly's popularity, but it was 2020's "Come Back To Bed" that became his breakthrough hit, with the song racking up more than 28 million streams during its first year. Sean Stemaly continued releasing standalone singles with 2021's "Hello, You Up," which became his chart hit when it debuted at Number 23 on iTunes.
