Portland-based indie trio Under The Rug are your favorite songwriter’s favorite songwriters. With over a decade of creative momentum, they’ve cultivated a large body of genre-defying works that explore death, love, and the messy work of becoming oneself. Most notably, their breakout single Lonesome & Mad (feat. Ariel Posen) from “Homesick For Another World,” topped streaming charts and helped propel them to international attention. They have since built devoted following—affectionately called The Rug Rats—through DIY efforts and their home-brewed patron platform The Secret Hideout.
With introspective lyricism and a magnetic live presence, Under The Rug invites listeners into a world where vulnerability and strength are synonymous. Touring off the laurels of their 31-song double album “happiness is easy =)/ILOTTEBIIHA”—boasting features and cowrites from Cameron Stone (Game of Thrones), Mason Jennings, and Sam Hollander (Panic! At The Disco, Blink 182)—and forthcoming 6th LP, “Nothing Gets Clean,” Under The Rug’s Spring 2026 tour will be a celebrated reunion.
