Biography
Russian
pop singer Maria Boyko, known as Mia Boyka, was born on February 15, 1997
in a small village in the Leningrad region. After graduating from
school, she moved to Moscow to study at the University. Since 2018,
Mia Boyka started to upload her music covers on the Internet. The next year, she
had been discovered by a Russian rapper T-Killah who became her
producer. The collaboration resulted in their joint tracks,
such as «Мама
не в курсе»
("Mom
Doesn’t Know") and «Лёд
и ночь»
("Ice and Night") that became the part of her debut mini-album Дикая
ламба(Wild
Lamba, 2019). In
the Summer of 2020, Mia
Boyka’s duet with Egor Ship «Пикачу»
("Pikachu")
reached the 1st
position on the TopHit Chart in the ‘Most Popular video’
category. The singles
«Ананас
Адидас»
("Pineapple
Adidas") (2019) and «Эмэмдэнс»
("Ememdance") became huge viral hits. In
2021, Mia Boyka released
her debut album titled Прощальный
альбом (The Farewell Album) and became
‘Russian Discovery of the Year’ by TopHit Music Awards.
