Dubstar are Sarah Blackwood and Chris Wilkie. Forming in 1993 and signing to Food / EMI Records in 1994, they released their hugely successful debut Disgraceful in 1995, which yielded the hit singles Not so Manic Now, Stars , and Anywhere. The albums Goodbye and Make It Better followed shortly after. After personal crises resulted in several years’ hiatus, 2018 saw Blackwood and Wilkie return with the critically-acclaimed album One, produced by Youth. 2020’s Hygiene Strip and I Can See You Outside singles are the first collaboration between Dubstar and their original producer Stephen Hague (Pet Shop Boys / New Order / Erasure) to be released since 1997, and begins a prolific new chapter in the band’s 25-year history.
