Pairing his brash musical identity, which draws inspiration from hip-hop, rock, and heavy metal in equal measure, with a "doom and gloom" approach to lyricism, Miami-based rapper Kxllswxtch emerged onto the scene in the late 2010s. Born Jonathan Robert Whitmer on July 17, 1999, he made his official debut in 2017 with the EP InVain, originally released on his personal streaming channel. Soon enough, he had grown a substantial following, and, by 2019, he was already co-headlining The Blood & Bone Tour in the United States. After joining the roster of Empire Records in 2020, the Orange County native issued the 8-track extended play KILL! later that year. The Pouya-featured singles "Lord of the Flies" and "Burn" appeared in 2021, followed by his debut mixtape DISORDER, which perfectly showcased his wide array of influences. Kxllswxtch returned in 2022 with a second EP titled WASTE, whose title track reached Number 42 on Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart.
