Jan Wayne

Jan Wayne was born Jan Christiansen on January 11, 1974 in Husum, Schleswig-Holstein (Germany). He is a German DJ and music producer who works primarily in the genres of electronic dance music, hands-up and Eurodance and attracted a great deal of attention in the early 2000s with his energetic dance remixes and club tracks. His career began as a DJ at the end of the 1990s before he started producing his own singles in 2001 and thus made the leap into the commercial dance scene. Jan Wayne achieved his breakthrough in 2001 with the dance version of the Bonnie Tyler classic "Total Eclipse of the Heart", which was played on dance floors all over Europe. This was followed by other well-known singles such as "Because the Night", "Only You" and "More Than a Feeling", which brought him to the attention of the international DJ and club scene. His debut album Back Again was released in 2002, followed by Gonna Move Ya in 2003, which documented his hands-up and Eurodance aesthetic. Further singles such as "Here I Am (Send Me an Angel)" (2004), "Mad World" (2005) and later dance covers and remixes were released until the late 2000s.
