Mr. Irish Bastard

Mr. Irish Bastard, an Irish folk punk band from Münster, Germany, was founded in mid-2006 by singer The Irish Bastard, banjo player Gran E. Smith, and tin whistle player Lady Lily. Their first release, the EP St. Mary’s School of Drinking, was published on their own label Reedo Records in 2006. The band gained significant traction with tours across Europe, including a headliner tour with the Levellers and performances at major festivals like Open Flair. Notable releases include The Bastard Brotherhood (2008), Fortune & Glory (2009), A Fistful of Dirt (2010), and Never Mind the Bastards Here is Mr. Irish Bollocks (2011). Their music, influenced by bands such as The Pogues and Flogging Molly, often features innovative cover versions of popular songs.
