The Sleeping, a post-hardcore band from Long Island, New York, United States, was formed in 2003 by Cameron Keym, Sal Mignano, and Joe Zizzo. They recruited Doug Robinson as their singer after auditioning several candidates. The band's initial breakthrough came with a self-recorded four-song demo that sold over 1,000 copies. In 2004, they released their debut album Believe What We Tell You under One Day Savior Recordings and toured extensively with acts like Taking Back Sunday and Bayside. Their second album, Questions And Answers, was released in 2006 via Victory Records and featured the singles "Loud & Clear" and "Don't Hold Back". The band's music was featured in various video games including Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. In 2010, they released their fourth studio album, The Big Deep, before announcing their break-up in 2012.
