Mixing together a love of 1950s and 1960s rockabilly with the anarchic punk of the early 1980s, Demented Are Go has been delivering their ramshackle, psychobilly for over 30 years. Formed by cousins Mark Phillips (aka Spark Retard) and Ant Thomas, the band took their name from The Thunderbirds slogan and found a home alongside the likes of The Cramps, The Meteors and Guan Batz in the post-punk, underground rock scene. Part-Elvis Presley, part-Johnny Rotten, the band incorporated the style and feel of trashy, horror, B-movies and helped build the sub-culture with cult albums In Sickness And In Health (1986), Kicked Out Of Hell (1988) and Orgasmic Nightmare (1991). Still raising hell, they proved an influence on the 1990s hardcore punk scene and acts such as Rancid, Green Day and Sum 41. In 2012 they released their eighth studio album Welcome Back To Insanity Hall (2012).
