Old Gods of Asgard, a Finnish fictional metal band formed in 2010, is known for their contributions to the soundtracks of several video games. The group's real identity is Poets of the Fall, who initially gained recognition through their work on Max Payne II, performing "Late Goodbye" as the main theme. Under the pseudonym Old Gods of Asgard, they released Memory Thought Balance Ruin in 2016. Their notable songs include "The Poet and the Muse", "Children of the Elder God", and "Balance Slays the Demon". The band collaborated with Remedy Entertainment on various projects, including Alan Wake, Control, and Alan Wake II. In 2019, they released the single "Take Control" for Control and in 2023, they contributed to Alan Wake II with songs like "Herald of Darkness" and "Anger's Remorse". Their compilation album Rebirth (Greatest Hits) was released in 2023.
