Blanco

British rapper and singer Joshua Emmanuel Pinto João Eduardo, also known as Blanco, was born on 8 March 1999, in Kennington, London, England. Blanco began crafting lyrics at 15, drawing inspiration from artists like Skepta and 50 Cent. Joining the UK drill ensemble Harlem Spartans through a Kennington youth centre, he solidified his standing as a respected drill artist with the release of "Jason Bourne" in 2016. In 2019, Blanco unveiled his first EP, English Dubbed, subsequently dropping his debut mixtape on 24 August 2021, titled City of God (inspired by the 2002 film) which was recognised in Complex magazine as one of the best albums of the year. The leading single from the mixtape, "The Great Escape," featuring Central Cee, secured the 62nd spot on the UK Singles charts. His next EP "Brilliant Mind," followed in July 2023, preceded by the title single which reached the 66th position in the U.K and 95th in Ireland.
