Rich in tragic destinies (Lucky Dube, Garnett Silk, Hugh Mundell, Peter Tosh), reggae enriched its macabre list with Matthew McAnuff in 2012. At the start of a promising career, Winston McAnuff's son was murdered during a brawl in Kingston on August 22, 2012. Twenty-five years old at the time of his death, he had taken part in Yard's collective Inna in 2009. It was from this period that his sadly prophetic track "Be Careful" emerged. Matthew McAnuff then worked with French producer Tom Fire, resulting in the brilliant fusion of "Brainwash " in 2011. Tom Fire mixed the rough draft of Matthew McAnuff's debut album, released as Be Careful in July 2013.
