Bayanni

Oladokun Abimbola Elijah, known as Bayanni, was born on 25 June 1997 in Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria, and works as a singer and songwriter. After early musical exposure in his family church and schooling at The Bells International School and Grace and Glory International School, he entered the music industry through the Mavin Academy and signed with Mavin Records in August 2022, releasing the self‑titled EP Bayanni. His breakthrough single "Ta Ta Ta" (2023) peaked at number 13 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and earned a Gold Certification from IFPI Denmark; the remix featured Jason Derulo. Subsequent releases include "Finish Me (AEIOU)" (19 July 2024) and "Goddess" (30 August 2024) featuring Ruger, both charting on TurnTable. Bayanni has received a Headies nomination for Rookie of the Year and won the Urban Music Awards for Best Viral Breakthrough Song. In 2026, "Stick to the Plan" reached number 47 on Afrobeats Songs chart.
