Born Malcolm Todd Hobert, the American pop singer-songwriter, composer, and producer Malcolm Todd was born in Los Angeles, California, on September 15, 2003. He began making a name for himself on social media with a series of lo-fi pop tracks infused with alternative R&B, such as “Intercourse, ” “Art House, ” and the 2023 EP *Shower Shoes *. Another single titled “Rommates” boosted his popularity through a commercial, while his videos gained a wider audience, racking up millions of views. In 2024, he launched a series titled Sweet Boy, consisting of two EPs— Sweet Boy Pt. 1 and Sweet Boy Pt. 2—and a debut album with sixteen tracks featuring the previous releases. He followed that up with two new tracks, “Comfort Me” and “Chest Pain (I Love),” the latter of which became an international hit on music streaming platforms and reached No. 18 on Billboard’s Rock & Alternative Songs chart (No. 68 on the Billboard Hot 100). The album Malcolm Todd, released in April 2025, features new tracks including “Bleed, ” featuring Omar Apollo. A few months later, in July 2025, a new 18-track version, *Malcolm Todd (Still)*, was released, featuring the single “Original” and three previously unreleased tracks. The album, which had initially debuted at No. 103 on the Billboard 200, then climbed to No. 49. After a festival tour, Malcolm Todd returned to his studio to fine-tune his second album, Do That Again, released in June 2026. At the same time, he scored a surprise hit with “Earnings, ” which reached No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 (No. 3 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs) and peaked at No. 19 in the UK, among numerous other chart positions worldwide. Preceded by the singles “Breathe” and “I Saw Your Face, ” Do That Again debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, and nearly all of its tracks charted on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
