Mr Eazi's ChopLife SoundSystem is the new pan-African music group from Nigerian-born music superstar, business visionary and international nomad Mr Eazi. Focused on music that sparks feelings of happiness, wellness and enjoyment — and promoting positive, carefree vibes through music and events — ChopLife SoundSystem takes its name from West African pidgin slang meaning “enjoy life,” along with the traditional sound systems, or mobile DJ crews, synonymous with Jamaican dancehall culture. ChopLife SoundSystem is taking this tradition and giving it an African twist through projects and events celebrating African culture and genres like amapiano and afrobeats. Mr Eazi is the primary vocalist on ChopLife recordings, and also serves as its MC — or Minister of Enjoyment— at live events, where he’s joined by resident selector DJ Edu (of BBC Radio fame), along with guest artists and DJs.
